Evelyn Pryce writes Regency and Victorian historical romance. Her first novel, A Man Above Reproach, won the 2013 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award in Romance. Her mind is often occupied with etiquette, the 19th century, particulars of the American Revolution, the evolution of human interaction, and cats.

Pryce lives in Pittsburgh with three gentlemen–her husband and two cats. She can be found blogging at her website, on Twitter and Facebook, behind a desk at a university and behind her computer working on her third novel.

  1. Ms. Pryce, I have never contacted an author before but I simply had to commend you on your two books. I rarely read romance novels but Amazon seemed to have a huge selection of them and I happened to happily stumble upon your books. I am so very glad I did!

I loved “A Man Above Reproach” so much that I ended up purchasing a paper copy for my library and ended up reading and rereading Elias and Ana’s encounters over again. You are a wonderful author. Not only is your writing far superior than other authors in this genre (at least the ones I have read) but you are a talented writer. Period. In any genre. I loved all of the characters from both of your books – Elias, Josie not Josie, Jonathan, Cassandra and Spence and Eliza. They were well developed and so were the stories.

I can not wait to read more of your books. I hope you are working on one now.

    • MH–thank you so much! This comment really touched me on a bad day, it really meant a lot and came at a time when I very much needed it. I love my characters and when someone else loves them, I feel like I’ve done my job.
I am indeed working on a new book. It’s a ‘soft sequel’ to The Thirteenth Earl (people who read TTE will get the backstory clues, but it will also standalone). It’s the first in a series I’m calling The London Spirtualist Society.
Again, thank you! You made my day. 🙂
      –Evie
